This project is basically my dusty garage full of widgets, experiments, etc. I write
articles about things that interest me, and I try to include a free toy with each article for your enjoyment.
I made all these projects public for a few reasons:
- It makes me finish them. It makes me care more about architecture and appearance if I know other people might look at these mini-projects.
- Feedback. Other developers can chime in: either helping me with problems or just offering critiques.
- Giving back to the open-source community. I've used a lot of open-source code in my short career as a developer -- now I'm contributing stuff, too.
One of my main organizational goals in these projects so to keep them small.
I envision my target user to be a developer scouring the web for, say, a nice color chooser dialog.
This developer doesn't want to download a 1 MB library of everything I've written: he/she wants a small jar they can pop into their library and run with.
